Saturday, September 26, 2026. 5th Annual Witch Costume Paddle Session! We had over 400 people last year, with at least 150 on boards and kayaks! Let’s make this year bigger and better! SCHEDULE* 1pm meet and greet and grab a drink! Blow up your paddles and eat a treat! 2pm GROUP PHOTO! 2:15 Costume Contest 2:30 Paddle! Women/men/children/pets are all welcome! We do a full beach day. Bring drinks and food! Most people stay until sunset if the weather permits. The location is Connelly Beach (behind the now closed Beach Retreat). Please do not park in their hotel parking but beach parking or Safeway/CVS across the street. Use the crosswalk when crossing and I’d suggest dropping off your board/kayak first. We are meeting at 1pm and paddling soon after. Bring your own board or more if you’d like to share. Please wear a witch costume even if it’s basic! I will always be watching the weather for safety so pay attention to change in date and location. Bring friends, kids, dogs please! DOGS MUST BE ON A LEASH WHEN ON THE BEACH! We are trying to keep it only paddle boards but understand some people are not physically able. If that’s the case bring a kayak! We do want people to be able to participate! The annual South Tahoe High School Homecoming Parade, themed "Under the Sea" this year. Floats leave the Lake Tahoe Unified School District bus garage on Al Tahoe Blvd. at 4:30 p.m., run through the community, and end at the high school. Expect delays along Lake Tahoe Blvd. from roughly 4 p.m. until the last float reaches campus; Pioneer Trail is the alternate route.

Cascade Kitchens Hosts Fundraiser for the Lake Tahoe Lakers Join us Friday, September 25th from 5:00 – 9:00 pm, as we team up with the Lake Tahoe Lakers for this month’s Plates for a Purpose. South Lake Tahoe’s own Junior A hockey team was just promoted into the NCDC West Conference, the highest level of junior hockey within the USPHL, and a portion of proceeds from your meal and beverages that evening will go directly to the Lake Tahoe Lakers Scholarship Fund, helping cover ice time, coaching, and travel for our local student-athletes. Cascade Kitchens will donate a portion of all food and beverage sales during the event, so whether you’re stopping in for a quick bite or settling in for dinner and drinks, your visit gives back in a meaningful way. Come hungry, bring the crew, and help send Tahoe’s team further down the ice. Attendees can support the cause while exploring the food hall’s variety of dining options, meeting friends and neighbors, and learning more about the project’s impact on the region. The fundraiser reflects Cascade Kitchens’ commitment to strengthening the local community through partnerships and events that combine great food with meaningful causes.

To celebrate this milestone, our season will feature performers who graduated from South Tahoe High School and have gone on to pursue careers in the performing arts. This special program will include Rebecca Kushner and Sebastiani Romagnolo , who are returning to Tahoe to share their talents and inspire the next generation of Tahoe students.
