Playwright Olympe de Gouges is desperately searching for something meaningful to write when her world is interrupted by three extraordinary women: assassin Charlotte Corday, Haitian revolutionary Marianne Angelle, and former Queen of France Marie Antoinette. Together, they wrestle with art, activism, friendship, legacy, and what it means to stand up for something when everything is on the line. The South Lake Tahoe Branch is one of almost 100 branches in California. As an active branch of the California and National AAUW since 1964, our purpose is to promote equity, education, intellectual growth, individual worth, and development of opportunities for women and girls.

Bread & Broth

Bread & Broth is a Charitable, All-Volunteer Organization. Our mission is to ease hunger in the Lake Tahoe South Shore Community. We provide full course dinners every Monday at St. Theresa Church Grace Hall, soup and simple entree meals every Friday evening at Lake Tahoe Community Presbyterian Church and weekend food and protein bars throughout the school year to food insecure children attending LTUSD schools and tots (18 months to 5 years of age) who attend childcare centers serving low-income families.

FeedTahoe by the Marcella Foundation is an innovative food recovery program in South Lake Tahoe dedicated to rescuing quality, surplus food from the food industry and delivering it to nonprofit partners such as food pantries, shelters, schools, daycare programs and more. Utilizing advanced technologies, we mobilize volunteers to transport food donations from food retailers to nonprofits.
